How I show up when we work together:

I work with you and your partner on optimizing your communication, strengthening values as a couple, healing relationship wounds, creating repair when conflicts arise, and enhancing a secure foundation for building a healthy relationship filled with meaning, joy and connection.   

I show up for intimate secure connection with you and your partner.  In order to do this well and creatively, I actively nurture meaningful relationships with my husband, daughter, close family members, circle of friends, wellness practitioners, mentors, my pets, spiritual supports, culture and the communities that have shaped and nurtured my wellbeing.  I am well supported so you and your partner will be well supported.

Terry Burks

Life Coach

Terry Burks, an Arizona native, began her business career with Mountain Bell.  She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at the University of Phoenix. During her 15 year career, Terry represented the phone company as a Loaned Executive at United Way where she assisted with fund raising efforts; with responsibility for state and county government campaigns.  Terry also contributed to the Stay in School program where she spoke with students about the importance of education to their future success.  These programs provided Terry with exposure to youth and adults with varied backgrounds and from diverse socio-economic groups.  This led her to pursue further education in professional counseling and life coaching.  Terry completed the course work in the Master’s degree program for professional counseling at Ottawa University with a 4.0 grade point average.   Her life experiences, education and Christian beliefs has led her to a renewed focus on Christian Life Coaching. 

Terry believes every person has a purpose and her mission is to assist individuals in finding that purpose with God’s direction.  Terry has been happily married for 38 years.

Ria Martinez

Wellness Group Facilitator

Ria is a seasoned mental health practitioner with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. With over ten years experience in individual and group counseling, Ria has worked with a diverse population of individuals overcoming a wide array of personal and interpersonal issues including but not limited to emotional regulation, self-worth/ self-esteem, conflict resolution, communication barriers, and so much more.

Ria enjoys group counseling work. She wholeheartedly believes in the beauty of learning from the similarities and differences of shared experiences that can be found in a group atmosphere. Ria feels that in learning from the shared hurt of the human experience that we feel less alone in the world and are empowered through connection to form a greater understanding and appreciation for the self.
